meet cassie…

(look up! that’s her!)

In 2012, Cassie Slater created the popular Music & Creative Play Program, Stomp and Shout Chicago. The marriage of her twenty years of teaching experience and her equally long professional acting career birthed a program that is more than a performing arts curriculum.

Stomp and Shout is a program that guides young minds to be curious, to be brave, to ask questions of themselves and the world around them. It does this through inventive curriculum designed, tested, and taught by Cassie and implemented in our classes in Chicago and beyond.

Cassie mentors Stomp and Shout teachers to lead with their hearts and inspires them to join the crusade of bringing empathy and art to every young child.

What started as the inkling of an idea with 4 kids at their inaugural Logan Square class in 2012 has grown to engage thousands of kids in Chicago, New York and Shanghai, China. In parent and tot classes, in schools, at events and parties, and online. A true imagination revolution!

“Your sessions, for me, were quite entertaining and wondrous, as I not only watched but observed the crew of parents (and surprisingly myself) bond over fun melodies and lyrics in something of a pow wow for the children and their development. I then theorized how much time had been spent architecting the program, and the amount of passion behind it. Lots!”
